Jason Zak joined Leavitt Capital Management in June of 2007. Mr. Zak’s primary responsibility is researching and evaluating prospective alternative investments, emphasizing his efforts on hard assets, i.e. real estate, timber, agriculture and energy.  As a Research Analyst he is also responsible for originating and reviewing mutual funds, ETFs and closed end funds, as well as preparing and evaluating performance and allocation reporting.  He also supports Client Servicing and Operations by assisting with new business development and statement preparation.

Prior to joining Leavitt Capital Management, Mr. Zak served as a Trust Officer at Northern Trust Bank where he was responsible for various functions within the Wealth Management Group.  He was also assigned to Bangalore, India to help expand accompanying divisions within Northern Trust.  

He graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in Finance and earned his M.B.A. in November 2007 from DePaul University with an emphasis in Finance.
